Don't get discouraged by the first few chapters where the characters hate each other so much it makes you want to roll your eyes at the cliche. She sounds psychotic, but she is also a lady who is proud of intimate disclosures sharing with her readers. This book is a classic tale of not knowing what you have until it's gone. Miss Farmer really put out a good book. The historical accuracy, the well defined characters, and the love story were well written. Since she began this journey to greater self- knowledge at the age of 50 (she is now in her early 60's) she has had several minor attacks but only one major attack which came shortly after the death of her husband Barry. A scary thrill ride that propels you forward into the darkness, your lights dimming slowly towards blackness and there are strange noises ahead and then something let's out a piecing growl and your batteries die. ‘A well crafted, nail biting thriller crammed with unpredictable twists.
