My Bottom Line:Karmack is a well-written, middle grade book tackling the difficult topic of bullying from the perspective of the bully. I was a juror on the first Pedro Hernandez trial (2015), which ended in a hung jury. This is a pre-1923 historical reproduction that was curated for quality. In my field of work, the lesson plans, motivational board game, and other activities provided for this series on the website (offered to everyone for FREE), have been invaluable tools. The obstacles: A disintegrating iceberg, a collapsing spaceship, an armed Russian salvage force intent on claiming alien technology for themselves, an approaching storm, and the biggest obstacle of all—the spacecraft’s alien inhabitants. Love is the answer, although this can be very difficult. and makes you realize that it takes more than money to move people.
